⁣Monthly luncheons are signature events for the Greater EMC Chamber and October's held at The Atrium Center was another fun, friendly, and informative well-attended one despite the rainy weather. Members and guests were treated to passed appetizers from Featured Caterer Amedeo's Italian Restaurant as they arrived to meet, greet, and network. After a blessing from Margie Taylor of Taylorized PR, they were served an amazing meal including desserts from Tony Raffa and his talented culinary crew. The program began with pledges led by Splendora ISD Superintendent & Chamber Past Chair Dr. Jeff Burke followed by Chamber President & CEO Mark Linabury who welcomed all in attendance. Presenting Sponsor the Houston Chronicle shared eye-opening stats about their digital services and reach followed by a fun party-horn-blowing CenterPrize giveaway from Heather Herlong Events, LLC. New member introductions are an important part of monthly luncheons and Board Chair David Harris welcomed each one with a special Texas-shaped plaque. The guest speaker was Lone Star College's new Chancellor, Mario K. Castillo who shared his personal story and vision for the community college system that is an important part of the area's workforce development. #proud2beemc #vibrantandengaged
