The spirit of aloha with a tropical summer vibe was alive and well at the Greater EMC Chamber's quarterly Leading Ladies Luncheon in July. Attendees were welcomed with a tropical cocktail or mocktail and passed appetizers from G&G Catering while they networked and enjoyed a fun whisk-me-away photo booth provided by Dynamic Entertainment Productions. Presented by Memorial Hermann Northeast, the event included a delicious lunch, entertainment with Tropical Rhythms hula dancers, an educational and inspirational guest speaker Gigi Woodruff, and Vera Bradley travel luggage giveaways with valuable prizes inside including a Platinum Hydrafacial Package from 4Ever Young Kingwood. The Montgomery County Food Bank provides nutritious food to hungry children, seniors, and families through a network of 80+ partner agencies.

The Greater EMC Chamber held their Celebrate America Luncheon presented by HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood at The Atrium Center in New Caney. As they made their way in, members and guests were welcomed by a celebratory drumline from Splendora High School and handed an American flag. Shiva Baradaran of Texas Senator Brandon Creighton's office led the United States and Texas pledges followed by Avery Culberth of Splendora High School who beautifully sang the national anthem. A blessing was provided by Jay Davis of Porter VFW post 4816 and the luncheon's Featured Caterer was Texas Roadhouse of Kingwood who passed pork slider appetizers and provided a BBQ ribs and chicken lunch. CenterPrize Sponsor Accurate Home & Commercial Services gave a travel cooler backpack to one lucky winner at each of the twenty tables. July is also a time for Montgomery County Commissioner Precinct 4 Matt Gray to give his halftime report which chamber board member Heather Ramsey of the San Jacinto River Authority led.
